ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To compete in the Virginia State Paratransit Roadeo, you must

  • Have been employed as a paid or volunteer driver engaged in demand-response or   regular-route service since May 2009.
  • Have not had a chargeable (avoidable) accident since May 2009.
  • Have not had a suspension from duties or any disciplinary action since May 2009.
  • Have not had more than 3 unauthorized absences since May 2009.
  • NOT be a supervisor spending less than 50% of your time transporting passengers.

ROADEO Winners

FIRST PLACE WINNERS in each division will have the opportunity to represent Virginia as Virginia State Paratransit Roadeo Champion at the 2010 National Roadeo in Long Beach, California on May 23, 2010.

All eligible expenses will be reimbursed up to $1,500 per winner.
