2010 Scholarship Awarded!
The Community Transportation Association of Virginia is pleased to announce the winner of our 2010 scholarship is Kasey Blevins. Her granddad, Roy Shinault, drives for District Three Governmental Cooperative (and is much-loved there). Kasey has a 4.4 average, has done lots of community service, including tutoring, working with people with developmental delays and supporting local food drivers. This remarkable young woman will be starting at the University of Virginia this fall with the goal of becoming a speech pathologist. She graduated from Marion Senior High School in Smyth County and was salutatorian, as well as being an accomplished musician.
We're looking for a 2011 recipient!
The recipient of the $1,000 scholarship will be a Virginia high school senior who has a parent or grandparent employed by an active CTAV member. The form is easy to complete and you could be helping a family member or friend for life.
